PYT Devising is an opportunity for students to come together to plan, create, and perform an original piece built from the ground up by the students themselves. Over the course of several weeks students will learn not only to apply their creative energies towards writing for a performance, but also the benefits and challenges that come with collaboration.

The class will focus especially on creating characters that move past superficial roles and grow towards rich, thoughtful, and insightful displays. Devised theatre is a home for many different talents, so even if you don’t feel like a strong actor, it’s a great opportunity for any dancer, singer, juggler, unicycle guitar playing talents out there!
