PYT Juniors

Weekly Performance Course

PYT Juniors is a weekly theatre performance course for native and non-native English speakers aged from 6 - 10 years old.

Our drama classes are held weekly in a professional theatre in the centre of Prague. Students rehearse in preparation for performances in December and June. During the rehearsal process through various teaching techniques and drama games, students are trained in a number of dramatic disciplines including musical theatre, script work, improvisation, mask work and physical theatre.

PYT Juniors takes place every Saturday at Divadlo Kampa and Divadlo Na Pradle.

Classes for 6 - 8 year olds take place at Divadlo Kampa from 9am - 11am and classes for 9-10 year olds take place at Divadlo Na Pradle from 9 - 11am.

Our next PYT Juniors trial sessions will take place on Saturday 31st August 2019. 

PYT Seniors

Weekly Performance Course

PYT Seniors is a weekly theatre performance course for native and non-native English speakers aged between 11–14 years old.

Our two hour long drama classes are held on a weekly basis in a professional theatre in the centre of Prague. Students rehearse in preparation for performances in December and June. During the rehearsal process students are trained in a number of dramatic disciplines including devising, musical theatre, script analysis, character development, improvisation, mask work and physical theatre. 

PYT Seniors takes place every Saturday from 11:15am – 1:15pm at Divadlo Na Pradle.

Our next PYT Seniors trial sessions will take place on Saturday 31st August 2019. 

PYT Advanced

Weekly Performance Course

PYT Advanced is a weekly theatre performance course for native and non-native English speakers aged between 15 -17 years old.

Two hour long drama classes are held on a weekly basis in a professional theatre in the centre of Prague.  Students rehearse in preparation for performances in December and June. During the rehearsal process students are trained in a number of dramatic disciplines including devising, musical theatre, script analysis, character development, improvisation, mask work and physical theatre. Students also have the opportunity to self-direct and assist with the other classes on a regular basis. 

PYT Advanced takes place every Saturday from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at Divadlo Na Pradle.

Our next PYT Advanced trial sessions will take place on Saturday 31st August 2019. 

PYT +

Weekly Performance Course

PYT+ is a weekly theatre performance course for small ensemble casts aged 15 - 17 years old

PYT + offers students who are interested in pursuing a career in theatre/acting, the opportunity to work in small ensemble casts to produce high quality theatre for public performance at least once a year. 

Through the process of rehearsing for performance, students will further develop skills in areas such as characterisation, script analysis, stagecraft and improvisation as well as gaining valuable knowledge of key playwrights and their work. 

As part of the course, students will be entered for London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), 'Group Acting' examinations.

Weekly sessions take place in a professional acting studio in the centre of Prague. 

The course takes place at the Prague Youth Theatre Studio at Art Centrum Botic on Wednesdays from 6pm - 8pm.

Our next PYT+ trial session will take place on Wednesday 18th September.

PYT Devising

Weekly Performance Course

PYT Devising is a group theatre course for 13-17 year olds

PYT Devising offers students the opportunity to learn new creative skills. Participants will become part of a small ensemble, learning the principles of Devising (making a play without a pre-existing script), before they create and rehearse their own original play. This course culminates in a performance of a full piece in May, with the possibility of entering into a LAMDA exam for Devising, as well as being submitted for inclusion in a theatre festival. 

The course takes place at the Prague Youth Theatre Studio at Art Centrum Botic on Thursdays from 6:30pm - 8pm. 

Our next PYT Devising trial session will take place on Thursday 19th September.
