The very fact you are looking at our site tells us you have the 'qualifications' we need! We have never, and will never, insist on previous experience - just a love for, and an interest in learning more about drama and performance.

Our weekly courses break over the summer but we do offer our popular ‘Play in a Week’ drama summer camp for children aged 8 - 13 years. More information here.

Although we try to be as accommodating as possible, it is not possible to join the Performance Course if you know in advance that you will be unable to commit to the performance date, which will be given to you during the enrollment process.

We hold taster sessions at the end of August and beginning of January which parents are welcome to attend.

Yes, we offer free taster sessions at the end of August and beginning of January that parents are welcome to attend. These sessions are free of charge and there is no obligation to sign up. These are not auditions, we are fully inclusive and have no selection process based on ability. Just come along, have fun and see what you think.

We do have a waiting list if classes become full, however, we will always do our best to accommodate anyone who wishes to join us.

PYT is not a talent agency and, as such, does not put students forward for auditions. We would, however, notify students/parents should opportunities come up that we feel they would be suitable for or could benefit from. You can find details or some of our students who have worked professionally here.

The sessions at PYT are focused on drama, acting and theatre-making. Whilst we do not specifically train students in the disciplines of singing and dancing; movement, physical theatre, dance, voice work, music and singing are all used to develop the young actor's craft. Should a student show an aptitude for dance or song, we would encourage the use of these talents within performances. We also offer Musical Theatre Exam Courses which follow the LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts) syllabus. You can read more information about those sessions here.

Yes, students who are interested in gaining LAMDA qualifications can sign up to our Exam Courses in a variety of subjects and attend weekly classes after school, either face-to-face, or online. Find out more here.
